Today was one of the most important days on the Mongolian calendar. Цагаан сар (Tsagaan Sar) is a festival celebrating the lunar new year. More about how it's celebrated later (and photos of the whole sheep that hangs out on the table during the festival), but in the interim, here's a new friend I created today. While according to the Tibetan calendar the Year of the Iron Tiger began today, I hereby declare 2010 to also be the Year of the Ice Ghost.
